With the Dobbs ruling, the Supreme Court allowed states to end the right to an abortion. The fight to retain this essential right for everyone who can become pregnant (which a majority of Americans support) will go on for years to come. News media will play a central role. When media downplays major impacts of ending abortion - more Americans dying, greater poverty, human rights violations - the public doesn't understand the harm caused.
